2. Basic salida to cross to walk with syncopations

The follower syncopates through her crossing step and the leader does the same as he brings his feet together. The step is shown twice; in the first version they dance through the follower's cross on beats 1 and 3 of the measure. The second time, interpreting the music differently, they step on beats 1 and 2.

The leader suggests these rhythmic variations by accelerating the follower as she reaches backwards with her R foot, and then slowing her down as she reaches back R after the cross.
