8b. Small, Quick Boleos

Just like back boleos, this figure changes the direction of the back ocho into a front ocho. However, there are several quick changes of direction in between. All of the technique that applies to the back boleos in the previous section applies to this figure, but the leader does not allow the follower to get as far into the back ocho before he begins changing her direction.

Remember that the changes of direction are created by the leader rotating his chest from side to side, not by shaking the follower with his arms. In the above movie, it is clear that Jackie's upper body is well connected with Steve's, while her hips rotate freely around her axis (see the exercise at the end of the tutorial on "Finding Your Axis").
